Who is your hero? Why?

  1. My hero is my mom. She is my hero because she gave up a lot for me. She had me when she was 15 and in high school. She gave up her life to me. That is a very heroic thing to do in my opinion.

  2. I would have to say my dad. he came to america with nothing when he was 25. he lived his whole life on a farm with 6 brothers and sisters and they were dirt pour. he didnt even finish the 6th grade because he had to work and provide for his family when he was only a teen because my grandpa drank a lot and could care less if his family ate. when he came to the states he couldn't even speak english. his first job was being a dishwasher in a diner, than he learned how to cook, than became a cheff and than after only working six months in the states he never worked for another person and opened up his own diners and businesses. In my opinion thats the american dream. I just hope i can be half the man he is.

  5. I would say that my Mom is my hero. She cares for her family, she cooks and cleans; She's a very hardworking person and will do anything to protect her family/children. My Mom has taught me a lot of things and I look up to her. I'm actually very close to her and I am so grateful to have a Mom like her.

  10. My hero is my Pop-pop (grandfather). He's over 80 and he still goes outside and he is in great shape. I take his motto to heart "Don't act your age, act your shoe size."

  11. My hero is my mom. She made the choice of having me when she was only 18 and raising me. She took on being a single mom, paying bills, having an appartment, and she put me through school. She has always showed me that it doesn't matter how much money you have or what you do or dont have, what counts is what you value. She has showed me how she is independent. I am very greatful to have such a wonderful mom like her.

  12. My hero is my brother Shawn. He's always encouraging me and supporting me. He's learned how to play a couple instruments on his own and he's always polite. He's a great brother and that's why he is my hero.

  13. My hero is my dad's coworker's husband. He has Lou Gehrig's disease, which is a terminal illness, and has been deteriorating in condition for several years. The last time I saw him he had a cane, now he's in a wheelchair. He's only in his early 40s. He's the most upbeat, cheerful man I know, especially for someone who knows they're going to die, and I've never heard him complain once. I wonder if I could ever be as brave as him.

  14. My hero would probably have to be amethysts Nana. She has been through so much in her life and yet she still fights through everyday to make sure her loved ones are okay. She is always puttings others before herself and has such a big heart. She never turns someone down when they need her.
