    An immigrant is a person or group of people that leave one country for specific reasons and travel to another country to start a new life there.

    To be an immigrant means to leave one place, where you are from, and go to a new place, legally entering the place and living there for an extended period of time.

    To be an immigrant pretty much means to migrate to another place that is a good distance from your homeland. This can include going from Canada to America, to going from Russia to China.

    It is when for instance a Mexicano moves to the US to start a new life. He comes here legally. Then he starts his life over learning our ways.

    It means a person who migrates to another country. They become a legal citizen,and they usually start a new life. Some immigrants move for religious reasons and many other reasons.
