In the 1700's I think freedom was perceived as rule without a king. Now, I think it is something we take for granted and we don't know how lucky we are.
Freedom now is considerd being able to do as you please. Freedom in te 1700's was taken as owning your own land/property and living without the help of others.
Freedom in the 1700s was being able to govern yourselves and not have a high and mighty power dictating you. Today it's seen as something somewhat similar in that it's about doing what you want, but a lot of people are brats about it today and don't think about the freedoms they already have.
Freedom in the 1700's was having your own land and animals to farm. Today its about doing whatever you want. People have turned into brats and expect to get everything they want.
Freedom during the 1700's was interpreted as someone not being completely controlled by someone else, like the slaves. But now it is interpreted as someone being able to make a choice without someone stopping them. Now we have more freedom, but Americans aren't completely "free".
Today, we are lucky to have as much freedom as we do. We are given more rights then most of the world. This is different because back in the 1700's they had to fight for their freedom and earn it, while today we are just given it because of the work they did for us.
Freedom in the 1700 was more of a mans place where men hold all the power and women had absoultely not power, but now women are considered equal, but none have had a presidential spot yet
Back in the day people thought of freedom as in having the right to make decisions for themselves. Now, we think of freedom as being able to do whatever we want whenever we want.
Freedom in the 1700's was almost only for men to be involved in, it was about owning your own land and having objects that you own. Now women activley participate in their freedoms, and everyone can do a lot more than they could in the 1700's.
In the 1700's men and women had very different kind of freedoms, men could vote but women could not. Afican Americans couldn't vote either and could also be owned. Now at days men, women, African Americans, anyone thats a citizen and 18 or older can vote.
